At the intial design meetings with Tetsu Nishiyama (aka TET) from WTAPS, they discussed creating a Vans Skate Shoe that reminded everyone of the lost era in skateboarding before it was an industry and embodied that same do-it-yourself spirit, but pushed modern skate shoe technology. Homage paid to Hosoi, the Bash, or Basketball Shoe, is Syndicate's very first original design now available in a skate vulc version.
